About the Opportunity

Methanex is currently seeking a Turnaround Analytics Coordinator to join the team in Medicine Hat, AB. This is a temporary position with an estimated end date of August 29, 2025. 

The Turnaround Analytics Coordinator will manage priorities, demonstrate business acumen, and use advanced communication and organizational skills to support the 2025 Methanex Medicine Hat facility turnaround. You will collaborate with the Turnaround Leadership Team to understand departmental goals and processes, providing recommendations for process improvements and implementing them using technology like Power BI, Visio, SharePoint, and Power Applications.

More specifically, your responsibilities will include:

  • Proactively identify improvement opportunities in existing processes
  • Create KPIs using Power BI to monitor business processes
  • Provide software training (Power BI, Visio, Planner, Adobe, etc.) to the TAR Leadership Team
  • Develop and document workflows for various business processes
  • Create procedures, standards, and policies to document business processes
  • Assist the Turnaround Team with document preparation, spreadsheets, presentations, and office supplies
  • Maintain turnaround policies and procedures, handle document control, including printing and filing
  • Compile expense reports, manage timesheets, and handle leave requests for payroll processing
  • Manage meeting logistics, including scheduling, agenda preparation, minutes recording, and organize team travel arrangements
  • Prepare documentation for TAR audits, facilitate audits, participate in safety meetings, and support safety audits as required

About You

To qualify, you will need to possess a certification in office administration with a proficient skillset in IT Systems, or university qualification in IT Systems or a similar field, along with 3-5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or related IT field experience.

Additionally, the following skills or experience are required:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, Visio, Adobe, DocuSign, Power BI, Planner, and Power Applications
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is desired but not mandatory
